Since its initial offering in PSU Bayambang Campus in 2005, the ABEL department has consistently blazed trails in producing graduates who excel in their own various fields; whether in the education, business, media and journalism, or government services. With highly competent faculty members, up-to-date and relevant research endeavors, and unrelenting and impactful community service programs, the ABEL program never rests on its laurels and continues to aspire for even greater heights in accreditation.

The Bachelor of Arts in English Language is a four-year degree program that provides students with a solid background in the study of the English language and its application to various fields. The program prepares the graduates to become competent both in oral and written communication by familiarizing them with communication theories and concepts and showing them the practical applications of what they learn in diverse and real-life situations, particularly, in the workplace.
With possible careers for graduates in the field of education, research, business, public relations, advertising, journalism, publishing, diplomatic services, and government services, ABEL graduates are able to seamlessly apply the lingua franca of the world, the English language, in different contexts for various purposes.
