Welcome to Science and Math Department

The Science and Mathematics Department is situated at the topmost hilly portion of the PSU Bayambang Campus. It is nestled by the serene and rustic ambiance provided by beautifully aged trees, making it ideal for discovering new frontiers in the realms of science and mathematics. The home of the department came into fruition in 1976 through the Educational Project Implementing Task Force when it was chosen as one of the 14 Regional Staff Development Centers in the country, making it shorthand called by many as the RS. More than coincidentally, it also houses the top performing students and faculty members of the Campus. It has a powerhouse of highly qualified and competent faculty members who are dedicated to continuing professional development, anchored on the University’s quality assurance policies. It offers two programs, the BSE Science and BSE Mathematics, which consistently has among the highest passing rates in the LET, be it compared to the national and institutional passing rates. The utmost honing of the analytical and logical minds of the students in the Department, coupled with deeply rooted sense of social responsibility, enables it to produce among the top caliber honor students of PSU every year. Tracer studies also show, that graduates of the Department are gainfully employed and are highly respected in their workplaces. All these accomplishments that it consistently achieves, made it not just once awarded as the “Outstanding Department” of the campus. This makes the Science and Mathematics Department perpetually highly confident to invite incoming students to come and venture with us, as we together discover their topmost and innermost potentials and prepare them for the real life beyond the confines of the four corners of the classroom.
