π˜•π˜°π˜΅π˜©π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘡 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘯π˜ͺ𝘀 π˜₯𝘦𝘭π˜ͺ𝘨𝘩𝘡.

Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus delegates dominated the musical scene as they hit the right notes in the various categories of musical art contests held during day 1 of the University-Wide Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Cultural Competition at Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall, Lingayen, Pangasinan on December 4.

Bayambang Campus representatives’ unparalleled skill and dedication were evident as they clinched first-place spots across multiple categories including, Vocal Solo – Kundiman, Duet – OPM, Pop Solo – OPM, and Standard Chorale trained by skilled coaches, Ms. Mayvelyn Reyes, Assoc. Prof. Melanie Junio, and Asst. Prof. Maria Christina Gamo respectively.

Their victories showcased not only their talents, but also spoke volumes about their unwavering passion and commitment to the musical arts.

Meanwhile, Instrumental Solo – Guitar and Live Band representatives under the supervision of Mr. Jessie Glenn Peralta and Mr. Clifford Dela Cruz, have each secured third-place spots to give the campus another recognition and testament of brilliance not only in academics, but also in music.

The day also featured Visual Arts competitions, including Charcoal Rendering, Pencil Drawing, Painting, On the Spot Poster Making, and Photography. While results have not yet been announced, the campus anticipates remarkable outcomes stemming from the coaches’ persistence and the contestants’ undeniable artistic prowess.

The annual university-wide cultural competition sets the stage for talented PSUnians to showcase what they’re capable of, and at the same time, identify the participants who have what it takes to represent the university in the Region 1 PASUC competitions.

As Day 2 approaches, the spotlight shifts to Performing Arts, Dance Arts, and the highly anticipated Mr. and Ms. PSU 2023 pageant.

The campus’ intensive pursuit aimed towards recognition and the honor to compete for the university owes its success to Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, Campus Executive Director, Mr. Jordan S. Neri, Campus Coordinator for Culture & Arts Affairs and Dr. Ramil L. Dacal, University Director for Culture & Arts Affairs.
