To develop the proper mindset for leadership, PSU-BC students from various campus organizations actively participated at the 2023 International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Leadership Camp held at Balon Bayambang Events Center last May 26.
In partnership with the Local Youth Development Office Bayambang, IYF conducted a whole-day seminar for mind lectures, recreational activities, Korean language class, and dance class with the goal of establishing connections, camaraderie, and creating a break from distractions in life.
Mr. Enrico Aquino, IYF Director in Pangasinan, also shared a talk about the importance of having the right mindset in facing obstacles in life. He said that people with the right mindset have positive outlooks in life, embrace challenges, and learn from failure, which good leaders should possess in their hearts and minds.
Whilst another lecture from the director of IYF Baguio, Mr. Vincent Baucas, talked about the importance and necessity of mind education by sharing his life story and success. He noted the worth of the heart means to discover the weaknesses, failures, and pains of oneself, and learning to connect with God to see the light of being alive.
Furthermore, Vice Mayor Ian Camille Sabangan emphasized the significance of the leadership camp by saying, “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.
