The College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (CAST) of Pangasinan State University-Bayambang Campus (PSU-BC) undergoes Final Online Local Accreditation for its four (4) undergraduate degree programs on Wednesday, September 14, via the Zoom platform.
With the title, โ€œFinal Online Local Accreditation,โ€ PSU-BC key officials, faculty, and stakeholders convened starting at 8:30 a.m. to internally prepare the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and Bachelor of Arts in English Language (ABEL) Programs for CAST 3rd Survey Phase 2 Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) on September 21-23, 2022.
The final online local accreditation includes the checking and completing of documents and proofing digital utilities for external accreditation to avoid mishaps for the upcoming undertaking.
Dr. Liza L. Quimson, campus executive director in her welcome remarks, officially opened the event. Quimson thanked the local accreditors for sharing their time and expertise to ensure that CAST is all geared up for the accreditation next week.
Meanwhile, Associate Professor Mary Ann C. Macaranas, campus coordinator for the quality assurance office, led the recitation of quality policy while Dr. Rosario B. Miguel, university head of local and international accreditation, laid the objectives and mechanics of local accreditation and introduced the local accreditors. The event was formally closed by Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, dean of CAST, in her closing remarks.
The event was participated by various campus officials, local accreditors, faculty, stakeholders, area chairs and members in the four (10) areas to be accredited namely: a) VMGO; b) Faculty; c) Curriculum and Instruction; d) Support to Students; e) Research; f) Extension and Community Involvement; g) Library; h) Physical Plant and Facilities; i) Laboratories; and j) Administration.
