The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) of PSU Bayambang and San Carlos conducted the closing program for the Basic and Advanced ROTC Training today, August 8 at Benigno Aldana Gymnasium, Bayambang, Pangasinan. The ROTC is tasked to train and develop college students in the rudiments of Military Service in order to produce capable reservists.
Present at the said event is Commandant LTC Romeo F. Abuan (MI) PA, 2LT Jinky D. Asuncion (INF) PA. Ex-O, 104th CDC 1RCDG, Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones, Campus Executive Director of PSU San Carlos, Dr. Liza L. Quimson, Campus Executive Director of PSU Bayambang, Mr. Saudy T. Maniego, NSTP Coordinator of PSU San Carlos, Mr. Reginald Austria, NSTP Coordinator of PSU Bayambang and the ROTC reservists.
One of the highlights of the said activity is the presentation and declaration of student-reservists for closing. After the distribution of certificates, Dr. Liza Quimson, Guest of Honor and Speaker emphasized that the ROTC program is designed to build a solid foundation to instill patriotism and nationalism among the youth to become useful citizens who possess the skills, knowledge, and heart to uphold and defend the countryโs national institutions and sovereignty.
