After months of preparations and assessments, 10 academic programs of Pangasinan State University- Bayambang Campus (PSU-BC) have been awarded the Certificate of Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education Region 1 (CHEDRO I).
The said academic programs are the following: Bachelor of Information Technology (BSIT), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED), Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE), Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED), Bachelor of Arts in English (ABEL), Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA), and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). The COPC is awarded to each of these academic programs which has fully complied with the policies, standards, and guidelines of CHED stated in the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) no. 14, series of 2019 or the โPolicies and Guidelines in the Issuance of Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) to State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs)โ.
COPC is a requirement of the provision of financial assistance for capacity building of LUCs or SUCs under RA 10931 known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education. SUCs or LUCs were given two years upon effectivity of the said memorandum to comply with CHED requirements on the issuance of COPC. Failure to comply with CHED minimum requirements within two years, the Board of Regents (BOR) may decide whether to continue offering the programs or not.
Before the submission of the requirements for the COPC, the ten college programs of PSU-BC had been subjected to local assessment by the university assessors to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the documents required for the said application at the DIVTC Library of the university’s main campus on May 4-14, 2021.
