With the goal of strengthening local and international linkages, and improving the instructional context through aligning it to international dimensions, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs led by Dr. Manolito C. Manuel through the Office of the Curriculum and Instruction, headed by Dr. Razeale Resultay, Office of Linkages under Dr. Sally A. jarin, in collaboration with PSU Bayambang, spearheaded the Teacher Education Syllabi Content Mapping with the Universitas Negeri Medan (UniMed), an ASEAN partner university in Indonesia, on March 22, 2022, via the hybrid platform.
The said activity was hosted by Bayambang Campus, the Center of Excellence in Teacher Education. It was attended by university heads, college deans of the Teacher Education program from other campuses, and the faculty members of UniMed.
The said event aimed at the blending and harmonization of syllabi contents of the Early Childhood Education (BECED) and Enhanced Elementary Education (BEED) programs of the PSU and UniMed. This was conducted in order for university heads, deans, and faculty members to share their expertise, best practices, and curricular implementation programs in promoting excellence in the field of education. They also discussed the Teacher Exchange Program that will be happening in the next couple of months.
The presentation of proposed harmonized syllabi was led by Asst. Prof. Rudjane C. Tunac, ECED Chairperson, and Dr. Amado C. Ramos, Prof.Ed. Chairperson, for BECED and BEED programs respectively.
This was immediately followed by the review and finalization of harmonized syllabi content, in which faculty members from both institutions shared their insights and recommendations to further improve the harmonized syllabi of both programs.
