Igniting the spirit of cultural inclusivity and awareness among PSUnians, the Pangasinan State University-Bayambang Campus (PSU-BC) commemorated United Nations 2025 held at Bayambang Event Center, November 3.

Spearheaded by the Social Sciences Department, the annual UN celebration centered around the theme, “Strengthening Peace and Building Trust: Foundation for Global Solidarity and Sustainable Progress,” which aims to promote unity and diversity among various cultures.

In her inspirational message, Campus Executive Director Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco, stressed the importance of peace to build a strong and united nation.

“ Let us also remember that trust begins with each of us. Magsimula tayong magtanim ng tiwala sa ating sarili, sa kapwa, at sa lipunan. When we choose respect over prejudice, and collaboration over competition, we contribute to a more peaceful and inclusive world.” CED Tingco urged.

While in his honorary message, representing University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University Director for Presidential Management and Liaison Dr. Juan Primitivo P. Petrola emphasized peace and trust as an essential action that we must exhibit in our daily endeavors that serves as a foundation for active moral responsibility.

“When we choose peace over conflict or misunderstanding, and trust over doubt—we build communities, we open doors for collaborations and we create a kind of world where progress is shared by all.” Dr. Primitivo stated.

The event also highlighted a parade of diverse national costumes, participated by various students and faculty representing the different departments of PSU-BC and presentations of different cultural dances by students from the Social Sciences Department, wherein Dr. Primitivo, together with Municipal Councilors Hon. Jan Nazer “Boying Kulas” Junio, and Hon. Jocelyn Espejo served as judges for the presentations.

The campus-wide United Nations Celebration stood as a testament to PSU-Bayambang Campus’ enduring commitment to promoting harmony across borders—an embodiment of its mission to nurture peace that transcends boundaries and cultures.
