Marking a significant milestone in their professional journey, newly licensed nurses from Pangasinan State University (PSU) Bayambang Campus formally took their oath during the Oath Taking Rites for New Nurses held on January 18, 2026, at the Duque Gymnasium, Lyceum Northwestern University, Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
PSU Bayambang proudly recorded an Exemplary Performance in the November 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE), ranking Fifth Place nationwide among schools with 50 to 99 examinees and achieving an outstanding 98.81% passing rate. This accomplishment reflects the campus’s strong commitment to academic excellence and quality nursing education.
Adding to the milestone, Royce Mark C. Ibasan, RN, a PSU Bayambang graduate, earned Top 9 in the November 2025 PNLE, bringing honor and recognition to the University and inspiring future nursing students.
The oath taking was witnessed by key university officials, including Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco, Campus Executive Director, and Dr. Maria Bernice Glizzle M. Catabay, Dean of the Institute of Nursing, who expressed pride in the graduates’ achievements and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and globally competitive healthcare professionals. Faculty members of the Institute of Nursing, including Asst. Prof Jumar B. Baratang and Mr. Harold P. Cabanlong, Academic Coordinator, were also present to support and celebrate the graduates’ success.
The ceremony additionally highlighted PSU Bayambang’s recognition for its exemplary performance, with the award received by the campus officials. PSU Bayambang, headed by Campus Executive Director Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco, continues to uphold excellence in nursing education, fostering competent and compassionate professionals ready to contribute to the country’s healthcare workforce.
