The said educators were formally given recognition by Campus Executive Director Dr. Ian D. Evangelista last May in front of the Gabaldon Main Building.
In his message, CED Evangelista stressed that the student evaluation of faculty members is just one of the mechanisms of the university to measure the performance and accomplishments of its faculty members. Other indicators that are part of their Individual Performance Commitment Rating (IPCR) include the universityโs four-fold functions such as Instruction, Research, Extension, and Production.
Despite this, CED Evangelista praised all teachers who performed exemplary in their teaching responsibilities thus being rated โExcellentโ by their students. โ๐๐ข๐บ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฑ๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ข ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ฆ๐ท๐ข๐ญ๐ถ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฏ๐ข ๐ฃ๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐จ๐ข๐บ ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐บ๐ฐ ๐ข๐บ ๐ฑ๐ข๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐ข๐บ ๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ด๐ข ๐ฑ๐ข๐จ๐ฃ๐ช๐ฃ๐ช๐จ๐ข๐บ ๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ช๐ฅ๐ข๐ฅ ๐ฏ๐ข ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ฌ๐ข๐ด๐บ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ด๐ข ๐ช๐ฏ๐บ๐ฐ,โ Evangelista stated.
In total, 39.47% of the entire PSU- BC faculty were rated โExcellentโ while 55.26% were rated โVery Satisfactoryโ suggesting that students were pleased with the instructions given to them by the majority of their teachers.
Student evaluations of faculty members are regularly conducted by the university to assess the pedagogical skills of its teachers and serve as a guide for the university to come up with various trainings to further strengthen their pedagogical skills to ensure every PSUnian receives quality and world-class education.
