The Pangasinan State University Bayambang Campus – ABEL Department conducted an extension project entitled “Integration of Media Technology to the Teaching of Writing (Phase 3)” last November 27, 2020 via Zoom ™. This activity aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills in creating and designing instructional media that is vital in the implementation of instruction and facilitation of students’ achievement of learning objectives.
The said undertaking was a joint project of the De La Salle University – Manila thru Professor Eros S. Atalia and the Pangasinan State University Bayambang Campus. It was attended by the English and Filipino teachers of Bayambang Districts 1 and 2, Tanolong National High School, PSU Bayambang Campus, and other institutions.
The online admission of the webinar started at 7:45 a.m – 9:00 a.m via Zoom™. It was spearheaded by the ABEL Faculty members with the help of Professor Atalia. The program started at 9 a.m through the audiovisual presentation of National Hymn, ASEAN hymn, Pangasinan hymn, Bayambang hymn, and PSU hymn. It was followed by the recitation of the PSU Quality Policy led by Mr. William V. Cayetano and the welcome remarks of Dr. Liza L. Quimson.
The resource speaker, Prof. Atalia highlighted his talk on “Mga Mungkahing Modelo at Aplikasyon sa Integrasyon ng Teknolohiya sa Pagtututo ng Panitikan at Pagsulat”, “Online Sources in Teaching Writing” and “How to Teach and Write Creative Nonfiction”.
After all the topics were discussed, Prof. Atalia randomly called the participants to participate in the given activity by reading the short story or excerpt from a literary piece and share their understanding about it.

With the virtual presentation of outputs done, it was promptly followed by a short-closing program and awarding of certificates to the participants, resource speakers, organizers, and facilitators.
