PSU Bayambang’s Business Administration Department with the DOST-Food Innovation Center launched PSU CARES: Livelihood SKills Training for Women last December 21, 2020 at the DOST-FIC.

This event is an extension project aimed at empowering mothers from several barangays in Bayambang, Pangasinan, by giving livelihood training that will teach participants skills that they may utilize to produce income.

BSBA Department in collaboration with the DOST-FIC, invited the women from barangay Tanolong as the recipients of the said training.

Trainings and seminars conducted by the BSBA faculty members includes Dishwashing liquid making (Dr. Ghana L. Cahatol) alcohol and hand sanitizer making (Dr. Gudelia M. Samson), pricing strategies (Sir Timothy Joshua Ventayen, MBA) and basic marketing strategies (Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin).

FIC faculty members also provide seminar and training about proper food handling and safety (Dr. Raquel C. Pambid) and Calamay making (Ms. Meryl Bernardino) to the participants.

The 29 mothers also received gifts on their children’s behalf during the gift-giving activity. The presents were for their children who are enrolled at PSU-Assisted Day Care centers.
