Lingayen, Pangasinan – The much awaited 2021 Gawad Parangal para sa mga Natatanging Mag-aaral ng PSU ensued on November 10 at Dr. Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall.
PSU-BC’s pride, Mr. Reymarck M. Galsim, a BSBA student, was declared the 7th Pinakanatatanging Mag-aaral ng PSU leading to the 3rd winning streak for the campus. He was accompanied by her mother during the awarding ceremony.
“May pagkakataong naririnig ko ang aking mga magulang na umiiyak tuwing gabi. Akala nila di ko iyon naririnig pero napakasakit na wala ako magawa sa mga oras na iyon. Nasabi ko na lamang sa aking sarili na darating din ang pagkakataon upang mapagaan ko ang ating buhay. At ngayon na ako ay nakapagtapos na, gagawin ko ang lahat upang maiangat ko kayo sa kahirapan,” said Galsim during his speech.
Present during the said event are Dr. Liza L. Quimson, Campus Executive Director, Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, Dean, CAST, Prof. Maridith Kristine M. Calangian, Dept Chair of BA, Dr. Amela T. Cayabyab, Student Services Coordinator and Mr. John Joseph D. Zarate, the 2020 Pinakanatatanging Mag-aaral ng PSU.
Mr. Galsim’s feat proves without a doubt that PSU-BC remains unbeaten in producing the best and quality graduates across all programs. As the the Golden Lion trophy signifies the lion’s unparalled bravery and excellent leadership. Mr. Galsim’s determination to overcome life’s adversity proves worthy of the most coveted award and inspired a lot of PSUnians to never give up.
