The extension activity of the Professional Education Department dubbed as PROJECT CARE: Collaborative Assistance for Resilient Education was conducted last November 19, 2021 and November 24, 2021. The first part of the extension activity is a short webinar on the role of collaboration for resilient education and the roles of parents in the new normal. The event was attended by the faculty members of the Professional Education Department and teaching force of Tanolong Elementary School together with the parents and some pupils. The second part of the extension activity was attended by some faculty members from professional education department to turn over food packages and school supplies for pupils at Tanolong Elementary School through their teachers.


On the first day of the extension activity, the webinar was conducted. It was led by Mrs. Arcelyn Sangalang as the moderator or host. It was followed by a welcome remark by Ms. Vemma Mae R. Guinto, followed by the messages coming from Dr. Luzviminda Q. Ramos, Dr. Darcy Rio Lopez represented by Ms. Lyssete Claveria and Dr. Roseanne Agustin.
Shortly hereafter Ms. Kimberly B. Inaldo introduced both the resource speakers. Mr. Peter Patrick B Miguel shared his insights and thought on resilience of education and why do we need collaboration during this time. It was followed by the presentation of Prof. Mitzy Macaraeg on the role of parents during this new normal. An intermission number was rendered by the Young Educators Club Officers. An open forum was conducted after the resource speakers. The first part of the extension activity was concluded thru closing remarks from Dr. Amado C. Ramos and a short photo opportunity marked the end of the webinar.


The second part of the extension activity was conducted a few days after the first part. It included a turnover of food packages and school supplies to the selected pupils of Tanolong Elementary School through their teachers. It is also a short meeting between the teaching personnel of both schools. In addition, the professional education department donated some reference books that could be used.


The conduct of the extension activity was deemed successful due to its high rating on the training evaluation conducted and the participation of the stake holders from Tanolong Elementary School.
