Seven (7) Pangasinan State University Officials attended the 5-day Philippine Quality Award (PQA) E-learning Assessors Preparatory Course on October 27, 2021.
The PQA has been the premier quality award in the Philippines since its founding in 1988. Through training, accreditation of institutions and individual specialists, and recognition of those who excel in their professions, the Institute serves as a catalyst for information transfer. The PQA has been a global leader in advancing educational excellence through its work at home and abroad. This Philippine Quality Award (PQA) E-learning Assessors Preparatory Course helps participants to learn the framework and principles of Philippine Quality Award management system based on the US Baldrige Performance Excellence, to gain competencies required as a PQA Assessor in reviewing and assessing award applications, and to have an opportunity for a new career and be part PQA’s pool of Assessors.
The said 5-day training course was attended by 61 participants including the following seven University Officials: Dr. Elbert Galas, Vice President for Administration and Linkages Office; Dr. Liza Quimson Campus, Executive Director, Bayambang Campus; Prof. Celeste Mercado Director, Students and Alumni Affairs Office; Dr. Billy Festijo Director, Institutional Assessment and Accreditation; Dr. Gloria Ducut, IGP Coordinator, Alaminos City Campus; Dr. Jenylyn Oboza, HR Coordinator, Alaminos City Campus; and Dr. Charlaine Lopez, BSBA Program Chairperson, Alaminos City Campus. They were among the participants who completed the fourth batch of this E-learning Assessors Preparatory Course led by Ms. Angelica Fraginal, Philippine Quality Award (PQA’s) Resource Speaker.
In addition, this is a privilege for PSU Officials since the university is the first educational institution to be conferred the most prestigious Philippine Quality Award Level III: Mastery in Quality Management during the 23rd PQA Assessment Cycle.
