Dr. Narciso A. Martin, Jr from Infanta Campus, is one of the new associate members who successfully passed the rigorous screening process of the Pambansang Sanggunian sa Pananaliksik ng Pilipinas (National Research Council of the Philippines). Martin took an oath as a new member on March 10 via Zoom for his notable works in research of his respective field.

National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) is an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) composed of scientists, researchers, technologists, and engineers whose core mission is to generate knowledge through research across all fields of science, humanities, and social sciences.

Members of NRCP can avail of benefits and privileges provided by the council like funding for projects, capacity, professional development opportunities and be engaged as experts or advisers for various advisory and consultancy services, among others.

As part of his duty, he must actively engage in research and development, he must actively participate in the promotion and support of research, foster linkages with local and international scientific organizations, provide advice on national interest issues, and promote scientific and technological culture to all sectors of society.
