CAREER JUMPSTART. Fourteen of the Lingayen Campusโ€™ newest faculty members got the chance to make the best possible start to their career journeys as they experience to participate in a two-day Professional Development and Orientation Program on October 8-9 at De Venecia Information Technology Center (DVITC).

On first day, a series of discussions and skills workshops was prepared to equip teachers with ideas and information about university guidelines, policies and salient documents needed in their job descriptions as instructors and professors.

Talks about Civil Service Rules and Regulations by Mrs. Lucia Ceralde; Weekly Performance Summary and Weekly Accomplishment Report Preparation by Mr. Sylverter M. Victorio; Table of Specification and Rubrics Preparation, and Test Construction by Mr. Mark Marlon P. de Vera; Microsoft Teams by Ms. Era Anjelika U. Tomas; E-class Record Management and Computation of Grades by Ms. Alexies Claire Raoet; Faculty Portfolio by Ms. Era Anjelika U. Tomas; and Guidelines for Faculty Training NBC Points System by Mr. Randy Joy Ventayen were presented to guide the new teachers as they go on with their profession in the university.

Meanwhile to strengthen their psychological and communication skills, discussions on Stress and Anger Management, Communicate to Relate, and Counselling Skills and Behavior Management were rendered on the second day by Ms. Danielle B. Madero, Ms. Leizel del Castillo, and Ms. Beverly Fernandez, respectively.

Said event was also graced by Dr. Lorna G. Urbiztondo, Campus Executive Director; Mr. Rricky Tim Sison, College of Hospitality Management Dean; and Professor Erna M. Salazar, College of Arts, Sciences and Letters Dean. The orientation was organized by the General Education Department spearheaded by Mr. Sylvester Victorio, Department Chairperson. /mmpd
