Philippine Information Agency (PIA) gave citation to Pangasinan State University (PSU) in acknowledgment to its contribution for ASEAN advocacy during the Stakeholders’ Forum and Recognition Rites held at the Puerto de San Juan Beach Resort, San Juan, La Union last December 20, 2017.

Anchored with the theme, “Partnering for Change, Engaging the World,” the program forefronted by the PIA Region 1 was intended to recognize all of its partners in the region who have made the widest dissemination of information towards positive changes in the community under the country’s chairmanship of the ASEAN 2017.

Pangasinan State University, Senior High School Department, and Young Public Administrators’ Guild receive Certificates of Recognition from Philippine Information Agency Region 1.

Stakeholders like private industries, local government units, communities, and SUCs were given the award of recognition. PIA and PSU took a partnership last July 21, 2017 for the conduct of Asean awareness program where about 800 students and faculty members crowded the PSU Convention Hall.

Dr. Liza L. Quimson, University Director for Practice Teaching, together with the Public Relation, Publication and Information Office received the award in behalf of Dr. Dexter R. Buted, University President. Ms. Jennilyne C. Role, PIA Regional Office I Director, and Ms. Venus May Sarmiento, Information Center Manager of PIA-Pangasinan spearheaded the awarding ceremonies.

Aside from PSU, PSU Lingayen-Senior High School Department and PSU Lingayen-Young Public Administrators’ Guild, a student organization, were also recognized for their support and contribution.
