A workshop training on electrical safety and related hazards were given to all utility and maintenance personnel of the university on Thursday at the Dr. Telesforo Boquiren Convention Hall.

Through the constant internal audit and accreditation of various local and international institutions, the university was able to identify the concerns to be addressed in the administration and how to further improve its functions over time.

Heeding the university’s ‘practice quality always’ mantra, the Human Resource Management and Development Office and the Physical Plant, Facilities, and Construction Management Management Office (headed by Dr. Lorena B. Echalar and Dr. Claro S. Sison Jr., respectively) collaborated on November 4, 2021, for a workshop training for skilled administrative personnel to ensure safety in the use of electric-powered facilities.

Prof. Bernard D. Ferrer, Campus Coordinator of the Income Generating Project for Lingayen Campus, provided an overview of how to handle electrical equipment that applicable on campuses. Prof. Francis Lazo, Head of the Electrical Services Unit, on the other hand, discussed potential electrical equipment accidents and how to avoid them.

Said workshop is part of the Workforce Engagement Training Series of  HRMDO Learning and Development Unit, which advocates for administrative productivity through effective and efficient work ethics.
