It really is the most wonderful time of the year for PSUnians as the campuses of Pangasinan State University simultaneously lit their glimmering Christmas lights on the early dim of Wednesday (December 9) to commence the advent season.
To hype up the evening, the teaching and non-teaching personnel expressed their musical talents for the opening program. Afterwards, the Campus Executive Directors shared their words of gratitude to the participants for allotting time and effort to celebrate the Christmas despite the crises the country has experienced lately.
Furthermore, each campus also had their own firecrackers and fireworks display that were flashed after the countdown. Festive treats such as traditional Filipino dish and street foods were also served afterwards.
On the very same day also marks the sixth anniversary of Dr. Dexter R. Buted as the University President of PSU. โ Hindi man ako Pangasinense pero hindi ko inaasahan na mag-eenjoy ako na mag-trabaho dito sa PSUโ, he stated.
Dr. Buted also emphasized four key takeaways to commemorate this momentous event – LOVE, PEACE, JOY and HOPE.
Said ceremony signifies that no other predicament can hinder PSUnians from showing love, finding peace, sharing joy and gaining hope to others./jjdz
