The project entitled “M.A.G.A.T. System: Addressing Sedimentation Impacts in Magat Dam,” the entry of Team PSU Urdaneta for the Case Study Edition, won as CHAMPION in the recently concluded National Civil Engineering Quiz Competition, hosted by the University of the Philippines (UP) Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES).
For the Top 5 finalists, the National Civil Engineering Summit (NCES) Team chose who among them have the best engineering solution for the problem: “As a team of civil engineers, how will you address the sedimentation problem in Magat Dam with the objective to prolong the life of the reservoir beyond its original design life?”
For months, Team PSU Urdaneta worked hard to answer that question by creating an infographic. Finally, the three young soon-to-be civil engineers came off victorious!
The competition was participated by 28 teams from 18 universities.
