With the commitment to learn new things and enhance their journalistic prowess, the Pangasinan State University Bayambang Campus’ The Reflector staff joined an Online Campus Journalism (CJ) Training initiated by JCI Lingayen Bagoong in collaboration with AsinBolo, Pangasinan Youth for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PYDRRM), and CAST Chronicle, February 18 via Zoom platform.


Over 600 student journalists from the different parts of the country attended the said workshop and webinar.


Simultaneous discussions on the various field of journalism such as News Writing, Sports Writing, Feature Writing, Photojournalism, Laying Out, and Copyreading and Headline Writing were presented during the said event.


Breakout rooms were allotted for each campus journalism area and were led by the different trainers: Mr. Jerico Cayl Samson on News Writing, Mr. Mark Marlon De Vera on Feature Writing, Mr. Mohamed Ardaniel Swandi on Sports Writing, Mr. Ralph Michael Tumaneng on Layouting, Mrs. Donna Nikki Vargas on Photojournalism, and Ms. Alena Albitos on Copyreading and Headline Writing.


The online CJ training and webinar provided development opportunities for student journalists.
